The first time I toured The Arlo wedding venue, I remember thinking, this is exactly what so many of my couples have been asking for. It’s not your typical barn venue, it’s not historic or rustic — it’s a space that feels completely different for Hill Country.
The Arlo is modern, clean, and versatile, with light-filled spaces that can be styled a hundred different ways. Paired with hillside views just outside, it’s the kind of venue that sets the stage for a wedding that feels fresh, elevated, and truly your own.

As an Austin wedding planner, I love introducing couples to The Arlo because it checks every box for those who want a space that is sophisticated and just a little unexpected. Here’s a closer look at everything The Arlo has to offer for your Austin wedding.
The Arlo is located in the perfect location to maximize both peacefulness and convenience for your guests. Though it is just inside ATX city limits, it feels far enough away to set the tone for a secluded wedding getaway.
Sitting atop a beautiful hill, you get some of the best Texas landscape views around — and yet, you’re just half an hour away from the buzz of the city. Dripping Springs is even closer, offering guests a taste of one of Hill Country’s coolest towns.
But the premier location and gorgeous scenery aren’t all The Arlo has going for it. Inside, every detail is thoughtfully executed for an experience that is as seamless as it is grand. I love how versatile the venue is, providing couples with multiple indoor and outdoor spaces to tie the knot. For wedding ceremonies, you can’t go wrong with Storie Hall or The Lawn.
As one of the top wedding venues in Austin, The Arlo has so much to offer in the way of event space. From early morning mimosas to your final farewell, it’s easy to feel right at home throughout your entire wedding day. Here’s what you can expect from The Arlo’s wedding ceremony and reception locations.

Clean, simple, and elegant — that’s how Storie Hall feels when you step inside this modern chapel. An 18’ foot window is the focal point in this space, letting in tons of warm light to fill the room. This ceremony space somehow feels luxurious and minimalist at the same time with its exposed pine trusses pairing beautifully with iron window frames. It’s such a lovely place to say “I do.”

Unbeatable Hill Country views and a statement fireplace make this outdoor ceremony location feel like a dream. We love dressing up the fireplace with tons of florals to give it a romantic garden party vibe. If you love the idea of being outside, this space transitions seamlessly to accommodate dinner and dancing for a reception under the stars.

The Arlo calls The Courtyard the heart of their Austin wedding venue, and it makes sense why. Great for everything from a first look to cocktail hour to sunset portraits, this versatile space pairs manicured greenery with modern architecture for a stunning outdoor location that fits the bill for many occasions.

Of all the indoor wedding venues in Austin, The Ballroom at The Arlo truly shines. Coming in at 4,600 square feet, this space can easily accommodate up to 250 guests with plenty of room for a dance floor. And thanks to a 22’ ceiling and oversized windows, The Ballroom gets basked in natural light throughout the day. It’s such an open and elegant space to celebrate with loved ones!

When it comes to getting-ready suites, The Arlo delivers. The Lounge is an absolutely stunning bridal suite, complete with an oversized beauty bar, cozy lounge furniture, and private dressing rooms. It also happens to be one of the best spots on the property for a sweet first look!
They didn’t leave the guys out, either. The Cottage is a comfy haven away from the hustle for the wedding party to hang out and get ready for the ceremony. It has a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and tons of space to chill!
One of the most important things to know about The Arlo is its size. It’s quite a large space, and with that comes the need for a healthy budget. The property is grand, open, and designed to impress, which means it takes thoughtful planning (and often a good amount of décor and florals) to truly fill the space.
Couples who choose The Arlo should be prepared for a sizable investment to bring their wedding vision to life, but the payoff is unforgettable: a wedding that feels polished and fully tailored to your style.
The Arlo is located just 15 minutes east of Dripping Springs and 30 minutes west of downtown Austin and the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
From Austin, take US-290 W and turn left on Nutty Brown Road. You’ll find The Arlo wedding venue on the left after a mile. If there’s traffic on 290, you can also reach The Arlo by taking Loop 1 (MoPac) to 45 W, turning left on Ranch to Market Road, then right on Nutty Brown Road. The Arlo will be 2.5 miles down on the right.
From Dripping Springs, take US-290 E for about 7 miles. Turn right on Nutty Brown Road, and you’ll find The Arlo on the left after a mile.
The Arlo is a fit for couples who want a venue that’s modern and versatile, with none of the rustic barn or historic estate vibes common in Central Texas wedding venues. It’s perfect if you love clean lines, tons of natural light, and spaces that can be styled to reflect your personal taste, whether that’s chic and minimal or bold and colorful.
It’s also an excellent choice for couples planning a larger celebration. With its generous indoor and outdoor spaces, The Arlo can comfortably host big guest lists without ever feeling cramped. If you want a venue that feels sophisticated but still gives you room to make it your own, you can’t go wrong with The Arlo.
